LG Unveils 4K OLED Gaming Monitor With What They Call a Dual-Hz Feature

LG Electronics is introducing its 2024 series of UltraGear OLED gaming monitors. The series features a variety of models, including the 32-inch 4K model 32GS95UE with a 240 Hz refresh rate, a 0.03 ms Gray-to-Gray (GtG) response time, and integrated features such as the Dual-Hz function and Pixel Sound technology. The lineup also includes 39-inch and 34-inch models with ultra-wide curved screens, namely the 39GS95QE and 34GS95QE. The 32GS95UE model stands out as the first in the UltraGear range to incorporate the Dual-Hz feature. This functionality enables a quick switch between 4K resolution at 240 Hz and Full-HD at 480 Hz. It aims to provide an optimal balance between screen resolution and refresh rate depending on the game genre, enhancing the user experience in various gaming scenarios.

This 32-inch model also boasts a rapid 0.03 ms (GtG) response time, significantly reducing motion blur. Its OLED technology enhances color and contrast, contributing to an immersive visual experience. The design of the 32GS95UE includes a 4-side virtually borderless layout and integrated front-facing sound system, which consists of two woofers and supports DTS Virtual:X for a comprehensive audio experience.

The 34GS95QE and 39GS95QE models enhance gaming immersion with their 800R-curved, 21:9 UltraWide Quad-HD OLED displays. They feature LG's Anti-Glare & Low Reflection Coating, a 4-side borderless design, a 240 Hz refresh rate, and a 0.03 ms (GtG) response time. These characteristics, combined with the curved and cinematic format of the displays, aim to redefine gaming and content viewing experiences.

LG's latest gaming monitors also introduce the Unity Hexagonal design for the rear cover, which integrates aesthetic appeal with cable management solutions. The ergonomic "L" Stand offers stability and space efficiency, with adjustments for tilt, height, pivot, and swivel, designed to occupy minimal desk space.

Additional models in the 2024 UltraGear OLED gaming monitor lineup include two 45-inch monitors and a 27-inch monitor (models 45GS95QE, 45GS96QB, and 27GS95QE). These models are upgrades of the 45GR95QE and 27GR95QE and continue to feature high refresh rates, fast response times, and superior picture quality. They are also VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified, aiming to enhance visual depth in darker gaming environments.

The 45-inch 45GS96QB model provides an immersive gaming experience with its curved UltraWide QHD OLED display and integrated speakers. The 27GS95QE is designed for compact spaces, offering a 27-inch flat-screen OLED display with advanced gaming specifications.
