KIOXIA is set to introduce a groundbreaking microSDXC memory card with a whopping 2TB capacity, slated for release in January 2024. This significant development was officially announced by KIOXIA Corporation, headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo, on December 20, 2023. The microSD card, known as the "EXCERIA PLUS G2 microSDXC 2TB,". The achievement of this remarkable 2TB capacity is made possible through the integration of KIOXIA's advanced 3D flash memory technology known as BiCS FLASH, a proprietary in-house developed controller, and innovative thin chip multi-layer stacking packaging technology.

Performance-wise, this microSDXC card boasts a maximum reading speed of 100MB/s and a writing speed of 90MB/s. It complies with multiple speed classes, including UHS Speed Class 3 (U3), Video Speed Class 30 (V30), and Application Class 1 (A1). Users can confidently save and playback up to approximately 41 hours of 4K video content without any hitches. In terms of physical dimensions, the microSDXC card measures 15 x 11 x 1 mm, weighs a mere 0.3 grams, and is backed by an impressive 5-year product warranty.
