In Belgium, the online store Fnac.be accidentally put up pre-order pages for two new e-readers from Kobo: the Kobo Clara Color and the Kobo Libra Color. This slip-up revealed the prices of these gadgets for the first time, with the Clara Color tagged at €159.99 and the Libra Color at €229.89. These e-readers are noteworthy because they are Kobo's first products to feature color screens, marking a significant development in e-reader technology.

Before this incident, there had been some buzz on the internet about these new Kobo e-readers. People knew their names and were curious about them, but no one knew how much they would cost in Europe. The accidental listings on Fnac.be changed that, even though the information was quickly taken down. However, the internet being what it is, screenshots of the listings were captured and spread, especially in online communities focused on Kobo e-readers, like the Kobo subreddit and the Tweakers forum where enthusiasts gather to talk about the latest in e-reader tech.

Over in the United States, a similar leak happened with the online retailer Indigo, which also briefly put up listings for the Clara Color and Libra Color. From these listings, we got a peek at some of the features these e-readers will offer. For instance, they're designed to work with the Kobo Stylus 2, which suggests they'll have touch screens sensitive enough for note-taking and drawing. The Libra model is particularly interesting because it's waterproof (with an IPX8 rating, meaning it can be submerged in water without damage) and comes with a generous 32GB of storage space for books and documents. According to the Indigo listings, these e-readers might be available in the US by April 30, but it's unclear if they'll be released in Belgium and its neighboring countries at the same time. As of now, Kobo hasn't officially announced these products, leaving e-reader fans waiting eagerly for more information.
