Keychron introduced the V3 Max mechanical keyboard as part of their customizable three-mode series. The V3 Max, offering a TKL (tenkeyless) layout, is designed to enhance typing efficiency and customization. The V3 Max is available in two configurations: a base model without switches and keycaps priced at approximately $60 USD, and a complete set equipped with custom switches and OSA PBT keycaps for approximately $79 USD. This model features a gasket structure with a polycarbonate (PC) positioning plate, enhanced by thick latex foam and a bottom sponge for improved typing comfort. It includes PCB-mounted stabilizers, multimedia controls, and south-facing RGB lighting effects.
The keyboard offers three types of custom switches:
- Jupiter Tea: Tactile with an actuation force of 55±15gf.
- Jupiter Red: Linear with an actuation force of 45±15gf.
- Jupiter Banana: Tactile with an actuation force of 59±10gf.
Additionally, the V3 Max supports Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, and wired connections, features a 4000mAh battery, and allows for up to 1000Hz polling rate. It is compatible with USB-C and USB-A interfaces and includes support for QMK/VIA for key remapping, as well as one-click layout switching between Windows and macOS. The RGB lighting supports 22 different backlight effects, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics.
