G.SKILL announces OC World Cup 2024: Extreme Overclocking Competition

G.SKILL International Enterprise Co., Ltd., a leading provider of high-performance overclock memory and PC components, is pleased to unveil the 8th Annual OC World Cup 2024, an extreme overclocking competition. The event kicks off with the Online Qualifier Stage, scheduled from March 1, 2024, to April 3, 2024. Nine finalists emerging from the Online Qualifier Stage will advance to the Live Qualifier Stage, set to coincide with Computex 2024 in Taipei. Here, they will vie for a portion of the $40,000 USD prize pool, with the OC Champion securing $10,000 USD.

The G.SKILL OC World Cup 2024, renowned for its rigorous challenges, comprises three stages: Online Qualifier, Live Qualifier, and Grand Final. The top nine overclockers from the Online Qualifier will convene for a live showdown during Computex 2024 at the G.SKILL booth in Nangang Exhibition Hall. The three highest-scoring participants from the Live Qualifier will then contend for the OC Champion title in the Grand Final.

Key Dates:

  • Online Qualifier: March 1, 2024, to April 3, 2024
  • Live Qualifier: June 4, 2024, to June 6, 2024
  • Grand Final: June 7, 2024

Online Qualifier Stage: The Online Qualifier of OC World Cup 2024 presents overclockers with four challenge stages: DDR5 Memory Frequency, PYPrime 32B, 7-ZIP, and SuperPi-32M. The OC Champion of the Grand Final will be awarded the grand prize of $10,000 USD, the highest single cash prize in the overclocking community.

Cash Prize Breakdown:

  1. Champion: $10,000 USD
  2. 2nd place: $6,500 USD
  3. 3rd place: $5,000 USD
  4. 4th place: $4,200 USD
  5. 5th place: $3,400 USD
  6. 6th place: $3,000 USD
  7. 7th place: $2,800 USD
  8. 8th place: $2,600 USD
  9. 9th place: $2,500 USD

Furthermore, each of the top nine overclockers in the Online Qualifier will receive a DDR5-8000 48 GB (2x 24 GB) memory kit. Additionally, three fortunate participants who complete all four challenge stages of the Online Qualifier will be randomly selected to win a DDR5-7600 32 GB (2x 16 GB) memory kit.
