AMD's next generation Opteron processors for servers will be the 6300 and 4300 series. The Piledriver core based processors will get six to eight Piledriver cores each. The series 4300 will get 8MB of L3 cache and will be compatible with the C32-socket with a dual-channel memory controller. Three models have a 95W TDP clocked at 3.1 or 3.4 GHz. The HE versions will get a 65 Watt TDP and a 2.6 GHz clock frequency.

Microprocessors Abu Dhabi-based micro-architecture of AMD piledriver will go under the name Opteron 6300 Series and will be compatible with the current G34 socket used by Opteron 6200 Series CPUs based on the core Interlagos. These new CPUs promise better performance without increasing the consumption level of its predecessors.
