An analysis conducted by a reviewer from Bilibili in China evaluated the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D's gaming performance in comparison with Intel's i5-13600KF, a processor from the previous generation. The analysis focused on gaming benchmarks to assess the capabilities of the Ryzen 7 5700X3D, especially its performance on the older AM4 platform. The evaluation included tests across seven popular games, such as Counter-Strike 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Forza Horizon 5.

The Ryzen 7 5700X3D showed comparable performance to the i5-13600KF in most tested games but had a significant lead in titles like CS:GO and Fearless Contract, with performance improvements ranging between 20% to 25%. Performance comparison in selected games showed:

  • In Fearless Contract and CS:GO 2, the Ryzen 7 5700X3D outperformed the i5-13600KF by 33.3% and 25%, respectively.
  • In Eternal Calamity, the i5-13600KF was 5.6% faster than the Ryzen 7 5700X3D.
  • In PUBG, the Ryzen 7 5700X3D was 22% faster than the i5-13600KF.
  • In Big Cousin, the i5-13600KF outpaced the Ryzen 7 5700X3D by 15%.
  • In Cyberpunk 2077, the i5-13600KF was 4.8% faster.
  • In Forza Horizon 5, both processors showed equal performance.

The analysis attributes the Ryzen 7 5700X3D's competitive performance to AMD's 3D V-Cache technology, which enhances the Zen 3 architecture's capabilities. Despite the i5-13600KF's newer architecture and higher turbo frequency of 5.1GHz, the Ryzen 7 5700X3D remains competitive. The Ryzen 7 5700X3D, priced at approximately $249 (converted from Chinese Yuan), offers a cost-effective option with eight Zen 3 cores and 96MB of L3 cache. It operates at a base clock of 3GHz and a boost clock of 4.1GHz. The processor delivers performance comparable to the higher-end Ryzen 7 5800X3D, but at a lower cost, making it an appealing option for gamers seeking performance on a budget.
