The Arctis Nova 7 Wireless is a great opportunity for gamers to get a high-quality (wireless) headset solution (at a more reasonable price than the Nova Pro series). They have a relatively neutral sound profile out of the box, with a touch of the extra boom to help bring out sound effects like footsteps. The comfort it provides (also thanks to the lightweight design), the sound insulation, and the broad configurability, thanks to the SteelSeries GG suite, make it a fascinating product. The design is pleasant, and there’s no RGB (but to be honest – I don’t find an actual usage for this type of hardware). The quality is very high. The drivers offer a sound that’s detailed enough and has a broad spectrum. It’s a good package for your spending, given the two 40 mm neodymium magnets. It’s not a headset aimed at music lovers (of course, if you’re not an audiophile, I don’t think they would even consider this product), but you can fine-tune it, so you should be satisfied. For the gamers – all is already set, thanks to the SteelSeries GG software. This headset always sounded clean and crisp. I don’t have any complaints here. The battery life is similar to what SteelSeries states, as it’s possible to reach 38 hours of playing time using the 2.4 GHz connection. A 15-minute charge should boost you for a few hours if you run out of energy.

Wearing Comfort

Arctis Nova 7 Wireless is great in this respect. The simple design makes it feel outstanding in weight (relatively light) and very comfortable. The ear padding is satisfying, the headband is solid, and it’s possible to adjust. The material covering the ear cushions is very soft, with enough plushness to be massively comfy, balanced with good resistance to prevent the cushioning from flattening entirely. The clamping force is excellent and not excessive. Even longer sessions are not tiresome, and your ears don’t get too warm despite using closed ear cups.

Conclusion

You must spend 169.99 USD/199.99 EUR (169.99 EUR at the time of writing, in a promotion) - Arctis Nova 7 Wireless is very attractive. It’s sleek and high-quality. It offers excellent gaming audio quality and a microphone, which provides more than enough quality for most users (it’s a great one considering the wireless products). Arctis Nova 7 Wireless delivers a good performance in music (but it’s not aimed at that purpose), especially after changing the EQ settings. Still – in gaming, it performs great, thanks to proper 40 mm drivers. You get outstanding wearing comfort, and the headset is light. The headband should be durable, as are the ear cup mounts. From the positive aspects, the headset is loud and comfortable, has versatile connection options (you can connect two devices simultaneously, for example, PC and a mobile phone), and has a very good sound quality. There’s an option to change the color of the ear plates and the elastic band by buying the so-called Nova Booster Pack – red, lilac, mint, rose quartz, or Pride. The battery life is similar to what SteelSeries states, as it’s possible to reach 38 hours of playing time using the 2.4 GHz connection. A 15-minute charge should boost you for a few hours if you run out of energy. The main drawbacks are the SteelSeries GG suite, which should be more refined; I mean - it would be better to have all the features in the Engine section, not split between the two like now. There’s no active noise-canceling system (like in the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless), but that would probably raise the price. Last but not least – the Arctis Nova 7 Wireless has a reasonable price for its features – it’s not totally out of reach. It’s a headset worthy of a “Recommended” award. The provided features, sound quality, good mic, very decent battery life, and high build quality complemented with a reasonable price are the most important to mention.
