Here we see the two Radeon X1950 Pro cards each with 256MB gDDR3 memory. A long card for sure, but the cooler makes it look even longer. Still, that's a single slot design but that cooler is huge.

Just like the X1650 XT the Radeon X1950 Pro has internal dual-link TMDS transmitters. Which means that you can output towards two high-resolution screens up-to let's say 2560x1600 and probably a little higher. Manufacturers are free to integrate dual-link DVI and HDCP support. The video connector in the middle manages Video in and out, an ATI Rage Theater is integrated for these VIVO capabilities.

On the backside of the card we can find a 6-pin power connector. Obviously you need to hook up this card to your PSU to ensure it's being fed enough juice. BTW, look at the lower part of the card and observe how clean that layout is. Nice.

Yep yep, the Crossfire connectors my friends. ATI got rid of the Y-Dongle cable, which IMO is a tremendous step forward as it also means no more master and slave card configuration of higher end Radeons in the future.

Much appreciation goes out to ATI for listening to the consumers. I hope to be able to test Crossfire with a "Crossfire" connector for you guys pretty soon. The internal CrossFire connector is expected to ship with the graphics card and be a ribbon type cable, similar to what you have seen already for SLI.
