Page 7 - Drivers #2

Most of the following tabs are actually hidden at default, you can enable it by downloading the Hidden Features patch from our Detonator driver file section. As you can see you can check and change AGP settings in here.

As you can see there are two tabs if you want to overclock. Leave 2D alone, 3D is what you care about for gaming performance. Also, do you see that Auto Detect feature ? The card will actually detect the fastest possible overclock for you ! That's tweaking made easy. ATI can learn something from that. Some of their latest graphics cards are actually overclocking protected and thus locked at BIOS low-level which is such a shame.

Clock settings in 2D mode. Like I said, leave them alone.

When you overclock a little with yhe auto detect feature this is the result. The result is indeed very close to what this card can handle at maximum.

This handy tab will allow you to make changes in Fast Writes, SBA and AGP speeds. handy when you experience stability issues. We had none, so everything is on.

 Test system

We did several tests which are made with software like: Unreal 2003, Unreal Tournament, Serious Sam 2, Splinter Cell, Quake III, Doom III and Return to Castle Wolvenstein. All tests where made in 32 bit colors in resolutions ranging from 800x600 up-to the Godfather of all gaming resolutions, the 1600x1200 screen mode with all kinds of performance/quality settings.

Small sidenote, due to recent manufacturer cheats we have switched most of the time-demo's to homemade ones. That way it'll be a lot harder for companies to 'cheat' these benchmark. Of course we are not going to distribute these timedemo's. Also the 3D Mark series has been removed from our benchmark suite for the time being, at least until we are sure the score is not falsified by any party anymore.
