Above, the percentile chart of the 55 seconds gaming @ 2560x1440. Here we plot FPS and place it in relation to percentiles.

  • 50% of the time measured frames is doing roughly 85 FPS, which would be the average framerate.

Please let me remind you of the fact that this is measured at a monitor resolution of 2560x1440, hence the low FPS for this product. The higher the line, the better.

On this 55 second run the graphics card manages to remain below 15 ms (here lower is better), we see no stuttering in the chart. Again, with this chart, lower = better as the faster one frame is rendered, the lower latency will be. Huge spikes above 40 ms to 50 ms can be considered a problem like a stutter or indicate a low framerate.

We extended the frametime recordings to 55 seconds starting with this review, the GTX 980 is using a slightly older 28 second run, hence it cuts off so dramatically. The GeForce GTX Titan X shows absolute perfection frame experience analysis wise. There is a tiny bit of latency bouncing hence the thick line, but it is continuously smaller than 1ms, so that is just nothing you can see or even detect.
