Low Profile Mechanical Keys

Low Profile Mechanical Keys

The Kailh Low Profile Switches are (as the name indicates) the low profile mechanical switches that provide speed, precision, and endurance for typists or gamers.

Moderate travel distance and operating point bring the accuracy you expect from VIGOR GK50 LOW PROFILE TKL.

The Kailh Low Profile switches are clicky. Clicky switches are a sub-set type that produces a tactile bump and loud audible click with each keystroke. There are other switch types (tactile & linear), but we will focus on clicky ones. Loud and clicky switches offer great feedback when typing, so you know everything is working properly by sound. Not to mention the sound is satisfying and nice to use. When typing, the tactile feedback from (Tactile and) Clicky switches gives more accuracy. You’d know if a keypress has been registered without needing to bottom out your keys. Once you feel the bump, you can quickly move on to the next key

Compared to the most known/used Reds, they have a lower pre-travel (1.5 mm vs 1.9 mm) and the same total travel of 3 (not 4) mm. As for the feedback type – there’s an audible click, not the linear one. The keycaps are made of ABS, which is less reliable/resistant than the PBT, and the per-key RGB backlighting makes it look nice.
