This Gaming X Trio card has been fitted with a Turing 104 GPU based on 12nm FinFet architecture, and with 13.6 billion transistors, it has 2944 active shader/stream cores, 46 RT cores, and 368 Tensor cores. The GeForce RTX 2080 display engine is capable of supporting the latest higher resolution displays, including the latest 4K, 5K and 8K screens.

Here we have the backside, the backplate is metal grey, personally, I would have liked a more dark design but that is subject to taste and personal preference I guess. The positive news about the backplate is that is has a proper vent at the GPU backside, that helps to vent hot air. So, overall for a backplate, I am happy with this large venting mesh.

All RTX 2080 models sit at a ~225 Watt rated TDP, 75 Watts is delivered through the PCIe slot, then 2x150 Watts through the 8-pin PEG (PCI Express Graphics) power connectors. The factory tweaked models typically consume a notch more, we'll measure and show you that that in the next pages though.
