CPU-Z Screenshots

It has to be the most boring part of this review, but each time we do not include these screenshots of CPU-Z, we receive emails requesting them. So from now on we'll include them as standard, for your reference. Never say we do not listen ;)

MSI 890FXA-GF70

Here we have the Phenom II X6 1090T at its default base clock frequency. The processor is falsely tagged as 1095T. At this stage power management was disabled, otherwise CPU-Z would have shown a clocked down processor preserving energy. Let me show you that.

AMD Phenom II X6

Once the processor is allowed to clock down (CE1/EIST/Cool 'n Quiet etc etc) in the BIOS, it will throttle down in idle to a good 800 MHz, saving on power consumption. The minute something is happening the thread will start running faster so quick that you won't even notice it.

CPU-Z is always handy for verifying specifications. Let's see, yep... all proclaimed caches are there. That is a lot of cache for a processor.

Even more handy, you can always verify your memory frequency and timings. We run Corsair Dominator DIMMs at 1333 MHz CAS7.

And yep, the motherboard we use, the MSI 890FXA-GD70. If interested: you can download CPU-Z here.
