So, clearly the Core i7 2600K comes with 8 threads, a phat 8MB of L3 cache. We run the RAM DIMMs at a reference 1333 MHz CAS9 JEDEC for the baseline measurements. In the overclock session we are going to change that towards 1600 MHz, that's the XMP-1600 profile.
