Palit GeForce GTX 275

It is BIG, it is RED, has a frog on it's box and it is not an ATI card. Yeah, for real .. that can only be a Palit product :)

Palit shipped out their GeForce GTX 275 as well. Though the card comes with a custom design and cooler, it is 100%  reference clocked and as such offering baseline performance.

It's all good though. The PCB seems to be based of NVIDIA's reference design, and Palit went for the color red. I say based off as it is definitely not the same, yet has a close striking resemblance. The biggest eye catcher obviously is the cooler. In their tradition, Palit has decided to use a beefy cooler with two large fans to keep the card chilled down, and even when overclocked it should offer decent performance. The cooler uses a dual fan cooling system with two PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation) fans and three heat-pipes to provide decent performance.

Let's have a look at the box and bundled items.

GeForce GTX 275 Shootout

Bundled with the product you'll find:

  • GeForce GTX 275 896MB
  • Driver CD
  • HDTV block (3-way RCA component)
  • 6-pin to Molex power cable
  • manual / quick install guide
  • VGA->DVI dongle
  • HDMI adapter
  • SP/DIF cable
  • 6-pin to 8-pin converter

So while the bundle might be fairly average, in return you get to play around with that customized cooler and card design. Fair enough, we like it  ... though the red color for the PCB still mystifies me a little.

Palit's Sonic series of products come with a two-year warranty that includes cover for parts and labor. Anyway, let's have a closer look the product and what it actually looks like. Next page please.
