The GEEKOM A7 mini PC introduces a new industrial design that replaces the large screws seen in earlier models with a bottom cover that is held in place by rubber pads with hidden screws, making it easier to access the internal parts.

However, care should be taken when opening the device due to the WiFi antenna connected to the bottom cover. The exterior is clearly marked to show the front, which helps in putting it back together.

When the bottom cover is taken off, a large metal plate attached with four screws is exposed, which likely plays a role in cooling the device. Inside, the PC features a motherboard with an AMD Ryzen R9 7940HS processor, equipped with two 16GB Crucial DDR5-5600 memory modules and an ACER SSD.

Further dismantling gives access to the motherboard, where the Mediatek WiFi 6 module is found, offering Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 support, though the WiFi module's chipset is not specified and its Linux compatibility is unknown.

The motherboard also includes a Genesys Logic GL3590 USB 3.1 Gen 2 hub controller, which provides multiple USB connections. The system's 32GB of RAM comes from two Crucial CT16G56C46S5 DDR5 memory sticks.

The storage in the GEEKOM A7 is an ACER N5000CN-2TB SSD, but specific details about this component are not provided.
