Once we flip the board once more we see that the board lacks color coded frontpanel headers. However, the connections are clearly marked on the motherboard itself, not an issue.
Just above it we see a reset and power and buttons there. The Reset and Power buttons also function as LEDs for power and HDD activity. Also spot the diagnostic POST LED with will display error and status codes, unfortunately ECS forgot to list the actual diagnostic codes in the manual, so it is useless. Also what all other manufacturers do is that once you loaded and booted into Windows this POST led will show processor temperatures. This one shows nothing other than an FF code.
Okay, once more photo on the most peculiar feature of the board. The PCIe slots.
- 3 x PCI Express Gen 2.0 x16 slots
- 2 x PCI Express x1 slots
- 1 x PCI slot
- PCIE16X_1/PCIE16X_2 /PCIE16X_3 runs at x16/x8/x8 speed.
I didn't mention it just yet but there are a total of three controllable fan headers placed in various locations, only two are manageable through the BIOS.
