HD Tune Pro is a hard disk utility and benchmarking utility for Windows. This tiny application allows you to scan your hard drives for errors or take a deeper look at several performance figures coming from the storage unit.
As you can see a quick perf scan shows read speeds at ~1000 MBps, with similar writes. This is impressive for an external USB storage device.
The Random IOPS perf, in specifically for this test and this test only ran roughly 800 MB/s at 1MB file-sizes. Also, and unfortunately, all other write tests require an unformatted unpartitioned storage unit and you cannot see/mount an unpartitioned unit over USB, as such we can only run the HD Tune Pro random access read test.
