Specifications & Features
The Crucial T500 is tailored for individuals requiring advanced storage solutions, suitable for a range of devices including PC and PlayStation 5 (only with heatsink), laptops (exclusive non-heatsink model), as well as desktops and workstations (available in both configurations). The Crucial T500 Gen4 SSD, a PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, caters to gaming, photo and video editing, and intensive applications. It stands as a notable addition to Crucial’s internal SSD Pro series, built on Micron's 232-layer 3D TLC NAND. With Gen4 speeds reaching 7,400MB/s read and 7,000MB/s write rates, the T500 operates at a pace over twice as fast as Gen3 devices. It also showcases an enhanced performance-to-power ratio. Its capabilities extend to accelerating game load times by up to 16% and optimizing texture rendering with Microsoft® DirectStorage. Furthermore, the SSD ensures improved performance in content creation tools, handling demanding tasks, and quickening photo or video rendering processes. The Crucial T500 is offered with an optional integrated heatsink. Current storage capacities include 500GB (non-heatsink version only), 1TB, and 2TB (both configurations). A 4TB variant is slated for a 2024 release.
Specifications for the T500 Gen4 SSD include:
