The Crucial DDR5 Pro Overclocking Edition Memory enhances its predecessor by upgrading to speeds of 6000 MT/s. These DIMMs are compliant with both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO standards, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance on both Intel and AMD platforms. Designed with overclocking in mind, these memory modules feature CL36 timings (36-38-38-80) and support voltages up to 1.35V. A significant update in this edition is the introduction of new, slim heatsinks with a black finish. The aluminum heat spreaders are engineered to facilitate memory tuning at elevated clock speeds while effectively dissipating heat. Key features of the series include:

  • Aesthetic and functional aluminum heat spreader with an origami-inspired design.
  • Enhanced performance with 25% reduced latency, aiming for higher frame rates in demanding gaming scenarios.
  • Broad compatibility, supporting a range of Intel Core (12th to 14th generation) and AMD Ryzen (7000 series and above) desktop CPUs.
  • Dual compatibility with Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO, offering flexibility in system builds.
  • Reliability and quality assurance backed by Micron's 45 years of expertise in memory technology.

Regarding the physical design, the memory sticks are straightforward without RGB lighting or specific features for overclocking enhancement. They come equipped with two XMP profiles and one AMD Expo profile, offering a modest level of excitement. These memory modules are available in various capacities, including 8, 16, 24, 32, and 32GB kits, and support speeds of 5200, and 600MT/s. For this review, a 64GB kit with a speed of 6000MT/s was tested.
