Gigabyte

So at TICC where I met with ECS, I finally had to face one of my fears ... to enter the Taipei 101, and go to the 36th floor. So I went all the way to the top at roof level to get it over with ;)

At the 36th floor Gigabyte was located. As you guys know we review kit for them on a very regular basis and of course you can read a lot of product info and news on their products here at Guru3D.com. Gigabyte is actually a little in Guru3D.'s roots, as back in the year 2000 a guy named Ed Leckliter, then working for Gigabyte, suggested '3DGuru' as name for this website. That domain was taken .. so Guru3D it was :-)

Gigabyte had rented half the floor in the Taipei 101, their GOOC finals were held here. But they also had a wide variety off products on display. What I like to do here is show you some of the hottest products I spotted and also show you a couple of photo's on the actual contest. There have been a lot of semi-finals worldwide all leading to what you see photo's off today.

Computex 2009 - Day 3

This is the GA-EP55-UD4. Another P55 based Lynfield ready motherboard. Gigabyte had several models on display actually. P55 definitely is going to compete with X58 overclocking wise. Now we'll just have to wait and see how the processors like that fact.

Computex 2009 - Day 3

GA-MA785GPM-UDH2, with build in Radeon HD 4200 GPU. With the AMD 785 chipset and ATI RADEON HD 4200 graphics this motherboard is AMD's Mainstream Desktop solution for Microsoft Windows 7.

Computex 2009 - Day 3

This is rather cool (literally) Gigabyte's passively cooled Radeon HD 4850. It is interesting as GB claims the cooler is so good, that it can shave off 15-20 Degrees C of the temperature compared to the ATI reference cooler, again passively.

Computex 2009 - Day 3

This is the all new GTX 275. Is based on Ultra durable technology with all quality components to make the product last long, and 2 OZ of copper. From what I understand it's overclocked as well, to I think is was 675 MHz on the core, but that's not a promise, okay?
