Final Words & Conclusion

The Beelink SER6 is one of the most potent micro PCs we've tested, if you don't need a high-end PC, and would like something at just over 12cm, this comes highly recommended by us. The included IGP design even makes it suitable for simple games and absolutely everyday PC use. But first, a recap. The SER6 is powered by an AMD Ryzen R7 6800H processor. That's a full-fledged 8-core, 16-thread processor with a clock speed of up to 4.7 GHz, we noticed 4.75 GHz on two cores, actually. Furthermore, the GPU embeds a very powerful Radeon 680M (RDNA 2) with up to 2.2GHz clock speed. The mini PC accommodates fairly fast M.2 NVMe SSDs and can house one SATA III SSD. It has two HDMI video ports and can support a 4K resolution. To top it all off, Beelink includes 32 GB of DDR5 4800 MHz dual channel memory (CL40) and a moderately fast 500 GB Kingston SSD (read speed up to ~ 3500 MB/sec). One of the most difficult aspects of mini computers is heat dissipation; the SER6 does use proper cooling technology for improved thermals, but it does become a bit noisy under load. To describe these can be compared to say, an older laptop that can be heard. Some are bothered by it, while others are not. Overall though we did not pass 36 DBa in acoustic pressure, however high tomes are more perceptible by the human ears.

 Performance

Office applications, browsing the web, and watching videos (even in 4k) all run smoothly. This unitis also great for photoshopping still images. WiFi 6 is present (AX),  and Bluetooth 5.2 provide dependable and quick wireless connectivity; the NVMe SSD runs fine at 3.5 GB/sec. The processor is plenty fast and agile for what it needs to do, the 680M is excellent for an integrated GPU, but of course, falls short of dedicated low-end GPUs such as the GeForce GTX 1060 or GTX 1650. However, a quick game of Cyberpunk 2077 revealed that it could be played on low to medium settings (1080p).

Concluding

The Beelink GTR6 will be available as a barebone tiny PC or as a full system with 32GB RAM with 512GB NVMe SSD pre-loaded with Windows 11 Pro (fully activated). The unit is plenty fast for your daily needs and can play Full HD games with low to medium image quality settings quite well. The noise level was the most significant negative; we expected better. When the CPU load increases, you'll hear the unit as it approaches 35~36 DBa at a high pitch due to the use of very small fans. This sounds like an older laptop, as I described before. Nothing irritating, but you can hear it.

If you want to play simple games on the go or do other tasks that require a more powerful integrated graphics unit, the SER6 could be a good investment.  At a price of 610 EUR at the time of writing this unit is fitted with a fantastic 32GB memory (RAM), fast enough storage (500GB NVMe SSD), an activated operating system (Windows 11 Pro), the processor (CPU), and that integrated graphics processing unit (GPU). If you don't mind a some noise (comparable to laptop-level fan RPM), this is a great product to own, work and even game on (albeit limited). You can give beelink a visit here.
