Final Words & Conclusion

Final Words & Conclusion

The Beelink GTR7 Pro is a Mini PC with a sleek design and quite compact form. The dimensions are W x L x H (16.9 cm x 12 cm x 5 cm). The weight is 899 g, and the (magnetic) charger weighs an additional 278 g. It comes in four color options. The "Space Gray" we got is universal and should fit most rooms. Thanks to the unlocked BIOS – users can customize and optimize the system to their needs. One of the most notable features is the CPU has 65 W TDP (instead of 45 W), which performs better. The multitasking is effortless Thanks to the 32 GB 5600 MHz DDR5 memory. The provided 120 W charger uses the connector built for the GTR7 Pro, so you cannot use it for another device. The magnetic power cable makes it even more pleasant for daily usage. There's also a fingerprint reader, which enables better system security. Preinstalled Windows 11 is free from bloatware and other applications and runs smoothly. The results are good (thanks to using 8 cores/16 threads AMD Ryzen 9 7940 HS - even for more complex tasks than daily surfing, Office, etc. You get two 2.5 Gbps ethernet ports. The WIFI6 is fine (WIFI6E would be better in that segment); you shouldn't complain about it. The 32 GB of RAM won't limit most tasks you'd like to perform on the GTR7 Pro. The usage of a 1 TB NVMe SSD (although it's dramless) is also a great feature. You can always install another M.2 drive if you need more storage. If you want a versatile mini PC to serve as your daily driver, you can't go wrong with the GTR7 Pro. The drivers' update is solely dependent on Beelink, so that can be a reason for delays in crucial optimizations and bug fixes.

Performance

The AMD Ryzen 9 7940 HS is more than enough for usage as an Internet PC is fast enough, even with Windows 11. It handles everyday tasks such as using office applications, browsing the web, and streaming 4K video content like a champ. You can do more demanding activities without a hassle, making it a versatile performer. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 ensure fast, reliable wireless connectivity for seamless performance. In retrospect, with speed and performance, you can compare it to a mid-tier laptop. The AMD Ryzen 9 7940 HS (8 cores/16 threads) processor offers more than enough power. The NVMe SSD further enhances the device's capabilities, operating at a speed of 5(read)/3.5(write)GB/sec. The embedded GPU has a great video processor (AMD Radeon 780M) that can accelerate high-definition content; 1080P and Ultra HD are not an issue. Even playing modern games (in low/medium details) is possible and comfortable. As for acoustics - the product stays silent, even under heavy load. Although it's actively cooled, its fan is quiet and unobtrusive, with no bearing whine or rattle in what noise it could make.

Concluding

The Beelink GTR7 Pro offers good quality, fantastic CPU/GPU performance, and fast-enough 1 TB NVMe storage. You can add another M.2 drive. You get a preinstalled Windows 11 (without any bloatware). It's possible to mount the unit on the monitor/wall. You'll find here the WIFI 6 (although it's a bit disappointing that it's not the Wi-Fi 6E) and a substantial 32 GB RAM, especially since it's DDR5 with a frequency of 5600 MHz. You don't get a 1 Gbps LAN, but two ports with 2.5 Gbps. There are two USB 4 ports. There's also a fingerprint reader, which enables better system security. It would be good to get a Kensington lock, SD reader, and easier accessibility to both sides of the motherboard (now it's quite tricky on the vapor chamber side). It's a great pick for people who make video/photo editing and even play games (AAA games in 1080p in low/medium details are possible and comfortable). A vapor chamber cooler makes the operation quiet and cool (typically up to 80 degrees Celsius, under heavy load). We grant the Beelink GTR7 Pro a "Recommended" award for the whole package. The price is 869€ (you must pay 789€ for the GTR7 variant, with the AMD Ryzen 9 7840 HS). That's an attractive offer for a MiniPC with 8 cores/16 threads AMD Ryzen 9 CPU, with an AMD Radeon 780M iGPU, 32 GB of DDR5 5600 MHz memory, and a 1 TB NVMe drive.
