In this review, we dive into the performance of the be quiet! Dark Rock ELITE CPU cooler. The Dark Rock Elite integrates a cooling system that incorporates seven heat pipes in tandem with two 135mm Silent Wing PWM fans. Depending on the operational mode, these fans have varying rotational speeds: 2,000 rpm for performance mode and a reduced 1,500 rpm for a quieter operation. Users can toggle between these modes using a switch conveniently located on the cooler. The Dark Rock Elite cooling solution emphasizes enhanced performance and airflow, featuring ARGB lighting. A notable design aspect includes an innovative rail system that simplifies RAM clearance. On the other hand, the Dark Rock Pro 5 prioritizes efficient cooling with minimal noise across prevalent consumer sockets. Both cooling systems are engineered to ensure compatibility with advanced motherboards and RAM modules. Both the Dark Rock Pro 5 and the Dark Rock Elite have an integrated Speed Switch. This enables users to choose between a Quiet Mode with speeds of 1500 rpm (120 mm front fan) and 1300 rpm (135 mm middle fan) for standard applications.
