The installation process of Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420 ARGB has been described in the included manual, but you can find it on the Arctic website. We’ll show it to you on the example of the Intel LGA1700 platform.

You start with the backplate, installed with four washers (which should be stuck to the back of the motherboard). Most modern cases have a big cut-out for the CPU cooler, so there should be no need to pull the motherboard out to install the backplate.
You need to install two mounting arms on the CPU block to be able to install the Liquid Freezer. There are four standoffs for which you also need to use washers (also with sticky tape).

No pre-applied thermal paste exists, but you can use the provided product. Of course, you should remove the protective film from the cold plate. For the sake of the review, we used Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut as a thermal paste. With the paste applied, all that needs to be done is to slide the CPU block into place and secure it.

The AIO pump needs to be secured by the spring screws. Position the heatsink on the CPU and begin tightening them, alternating them with applying even pressure.
