Image quality and screenshots
Our image quality settings are fairly complex, which you can set in-game.
The graphics engine however is pretty nice, There's no need to give in to lower quality settings other then AA here and there for the lower specced mid-range graphics cards.
Here we see a screenshot in-between ATI and NVIDIA. Now we had to re0size the photo's and then saved them as JPG, the outcome is at best 'good'. You can however clock on the screenshot to zoom in a little on a crop.
Try to look at differences texture quality, shadows, lighting. Now this is a crop from two 2560x1600 screenshots. All I can say is .. there is no visible difference among the two vendors -- none really.
Very nice know and see. Let's enjoy some screenshots of the game.
Again the screenshots don't do justice -- it virtually is impossible to not be impressed by the graphics quality. Nice texture detail on the buildings and characters. And the water is just rendered really lovely with very nice waves.
This screenshot shows the nice water effects. The game will allow you to pan and zoom in real close or real high. Try to imagine that and then take note of the immense detail
Last shot -- again, a resized JPG doesn't do the game any justice. The game looks good. Not perfect, but you'll like the quality. Anyway, let's fire up some benchmarks.
