Frame Experience Analysis - Hitman Absolution

Hitman Absolution Frame Experience Analysis

5964_per

Above, the percentile chart of the 30 seconds gaming @ 2560x1440. Here we plot FPS and place it in relation to percentiles.

  • 50% of the time measured frames is doing roughly 75 FPS.
  • 5% of the frames is rendered at 55 FPS or lower.

Please let me remind you of the fact that this is measured at a monitor resolution of 2560x1440.

On this 30 second run the graphics card manages to remain below 15 to 20ms mostly, we cannot detect any noticeable anomalies like glitches and stutters. The two spikes at the 1st second is the start of the scene, you should ignore that.

This is a very good result really. Albeit slower, we see that NVIDIA is doing a notch better. But for AMD coming from that massive microstuttering history, albeit not perfect, it is just very good. For those that do not understand what you are looking at, the above is a scene rendered, the first 30 seconds of the Hitman integrated benchmark. With this chart, lower = better. Huge spikes above 40-50ms can be considered a problem like a stutter or indicate a low framerate.

We do (again) notice a handful of frames being dropped. We can plot that based on the recordings.

A total of five dropped frames however are pretty much insignificant for your gaming experience.
