Above, the percentile chart of the 30 seconds gaming @ 2560x1440. Here we plot FPS and place it in relation to percentiles.

  • 50% of the time frames are doing roughly 55 FPS.
  • 5% of the frames is rendered at roughly 28 FPS or lower.

Company of Heroes 2 has a difficult to measure game engine, showing a lot of latency spikes. These spikes are sometimes visually  perceivable, sometimes not. It seems to be related to scene changes and that weird snow effect in the benchmark.

Regardless, overall the GeForce GTX 690 is showing much higher spikes opposed to the Radeon HD 7990. In fact frame experience wise we see that the Radeon 7990 performs at up-to roughly 35ms, and that you just can't see with your own eyes as it is split-second bahaviour.

The microstuttering effect is not visible whatsoever. Framepacing definitely is working. We'll keep repeating this, with this chart, lower = better. Huge spikes above 40-50ms can be considered a problem like a stutter or indicate a low framerate.

And we can confirm that there are no extravagant weird anomalies that can not be seen or measured.
