ACEMAGIC AM20 Mini PC
Mini PC with AMD Ryzen 7 7735H (8-core) Processor WIFI 6 and wireless charging

The ACEMAGIC AM20 is a compact mini PC tailored for low-level gaming and standard work-related tasks. Despite its diminutive size, this device offers robust performance, boasting a Ryzen 7 7735H APU integrated with Radeon Graphics, 32GB of memory, Wifi6E support, dual 2.5 GIGe Ethernet ports, and a 10W wireless Qi charger positioned on the top surface of the mini-PC. The Chinese manufacturer, known for its Ace Magician series, recently released the AM2, a compact PC designed for simple gaming and work related workloads. This latest offering features an updated design and technical improvements, including the latest AMD Ryzen 7 7735H. Coupled with the AMD Radeon IGP, it is engineered to deliver substantial capabilities. So let me be clear on this; instead of a dedicated graphics card, the device operates on an integrated GPU (iGPU).  which we will further investigate in this review.   The storage is furnished by a 512G M.2 2280 NVMe SSD., however there are three extra NVMe slots to add storage, and that is golden all by itself.

Processor frequency ranges from 3.2 - 4.75 GHz, with a PL2 / Short Burst of 54 W and a PL1 / Sustained of 35 W. The unit comes with 32 GB DDR5-3200 memory (using two slots) and can be expanded up to 64 GB.

AMD Ryzen 7 7735H Processor: Technical Overview & Features

The AMD Ryzen 7 7735H(S) belongs to the Rembrandt Refresh generation and is designed specifically for laptops, particularly those aimed at gaming enthusiasts. Operating on the Zen 3+ microarchitecture, the R7 7735HS boasts eight cores, each clocked between 3.2 GHz (guaranteed base clock) and 4.75 GHz (Turbo). Moreover, this processor supports simultaneous multithreading (SMT) or hyperthreading, offering a total of 16 threads for enhanced multitasking capabilities. Manufactured using the 6 nm process at TSMC, the 7735HS serves as an upgraded version of the Ryzen 7 6800HS, featuring a boost speed that's 50 MHz higher and potentially supporting a greater thermal design power (TDP) of up to 54W. This chip incorporates modern attributes, such as USB 4 compatibility with data transfer speeds of 40 Gbps, PCI-E Gen 4 support, and compatibility with DDR5-4800MT/s or LPDDR5-6400MT/s memory modules. The integrated GPU, known as Radeon 680M, remains a formidable contender, ranking among the fastest integrated graphics solutions. The GPU, based on the RDNA2 architecture, boasts 12 compute units (CUs) clocked up to 2.2 GHz. Concerning power consumption, the Ryzen 7 CPU comes with a specified thermal design power (TDP) ranging from 35 W to 54 W. This TDP range, also referred to as the long-term power limit, ensures an optimal balance between performance and energy efficiency.
