prices in canada are always exchange plus 30$ usd probably some kind of a rape tax for canadians. I really miss that stretch where the top GPU's where around 500$ (gtx 480-680) probably because our dollar was at par now GPU's just feel like a ripoff cheapest gtx 1080 here is 710$ before shipping+taxes 1080ti is 980$.

All of you moaning about the 1080ti costing half your monthly wage, how about you consider those who have to spend a 3 month wage on a card like that? Yeah, you think you have it bad, trust me, there's people out there that have it a LOT worse.

I've complained about Canada's BS enough times that there's at least one person here who's practically told me to STFU about it. I'm wondering how much of a fee the government is taking when we already have a 13% (which in my mind is still stuck at 15% which it was most my life) sales tax. They definitely have to be taking something, it's no coincidence the prices on everything were (last I checked) notably higher than the exchange rate. Aside from when our dollar goes up, in those cases that's just the American companies treating our dollar as much less than it's worth.

You shouldn't really complain, you don't really have it that bad compared to many, and I mean MANY countries all over the world.

*Triggered* It's not a matter of how good or bad I have it. It's a matter of it being actual robbery. The money doesn't go to a fund which is then used for legitimate purposes for the country. The politicians here are just as corrupt as anywhere; funds unaccounted for, funds which are accounted for are preposterously "spent" (government offices replacing each chair for $55000 a piece, paint job for $1 million, etc), and yet things which wouldn't cost a drop in the bucket go unfunded and ignored, meanwhile everything in the country is sold to corporations. I wouldn't be so butthurt at all, if I knew that money was going towards legitimate uses for the country, but everything is so broken in this country that I just don't want to even begin discussing it. I'm sure someone is going to chime in and call me crazy or something and state nothing wrong is going on. Yeah, not discussing it, enjoy being robbed. TL;DR - Has nothing to do with how good or bad things are for me, I'm butthurt because the politicians are thieves.
