i think the Qick version w/o led would be a favorite for tweaking on air with that cooler an overclock and you're comfortably in the better than 3060 territory...by how much i can't say but w/o a loop that's a bargain with that headroom

Kaleid:

I'm selling my 5700 for a 6600xt, I bet selling the v64 would give a hefty amount of cash too, aren't they better for mining than this new card?
Given the prices people are selling RX5700's for on Ebay, you may be able to buy up to 3 RX6600XT..... Prices were insane when I was looking the other day.

I could sell my RX 470 today for more than I paid for it in 2017.... but then I would need to double what I make from the RX 470 to purchase what is essentially a lower tier medium range video card.. . fucking hilarious.

imo skip gpgpu performance for average charts. 2070S turns out 21% faster than 5700xt,in gaming it's like 5-10% average depending on game selection. I started looking into 6600xt's and I must say I quite like it.Overall at 1440p it's like 5700XT-2070 Super at 1440p,it's also super efficient both in gaming and on desktop. It's just that god damn 500eur pricetag

Just play old games with whatever hardware you got LOL, I set up a PC with i7 2600K + R9 290 for my wife to play AOE2 and she is not complaining.

im not complaining i played mafia def ed,jedi fallen order, now valhalla on my 1070 im just disappointed they made an absolutely stunning gpu as far as efficiency, and they sandbagged it with memory config pcgh got their sample to 2800mhz/18gbps at 141W but the card absolutely tanks at higher resolutions I mean leave a 128-bit bus but put at least 64M IC on it.32M only works for FHD - and the hit rate is barely 50% even then. well, this at least made me hyped for 2048sp rdna3,maybe they won't cripple it so severely. I think I'd still buy it at msrp, the phantom d version.but it's 600eur here.

Efficiency doesn't look all that impressive to me, low power consumption alone means nothing as I can just undervolt any GPU to reduce power consumption to the level that I want.

TPU is doing the efficiency calculation with Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p, so you will see lower number for 6600XT than other review sites. But buying a 500-600usd GPU to play games at 1080p is just sad LOL

then their numbers are absolute BS it's so cringeworthy they're doing efficiency charts based on literally best case scenario for nvdia same as if you calculated it in ac valhalla,or doom like hardware unboxed shills did and made amd win by a country mile this one is good https://www.computerbase.de/2021-08/amd-radeon-rx-6600-xt-review-test/3/#diagramm-performance-pro-watt-2560-1440 btw I forgot I'd need gen4 to even get the advertised performance.good grief.go home amd,you got so effin greedy.....

Wait until you see reviewers include DLSS number into the chart 😀, and no FSR is not comparable to DLSS at 1440p or 1080p in term of Image Quality.

Someone over at TPU tested his just acquired PC Fighter RX 6600 XT against his GTX 1070 Ti (which had a higher launch price IIRC), the RX 6600 XT consistently beat the GTX 1070 Ti in Cyberpunk, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, etc....from 20% to 50% faster than the GTX 1070 Ti (launch price of ~450USD). The RX 6600 XT is a great card for 1080P gaming and does pretty well at 1440P too (perhaps, as he'd surmised, AMD marketed the RX 6600 XT as a 1080P card because it didn't wanna confuse peeps as the RX 6700 XT being marketed as a 1440P card). Only caveat is, purchase price must be at or damn close to MSRP to make it a good buy.

A simple and good looking GPU.
