I'm surprised people are playing the MS games, those have been available for a while on Game Pass on the PC.
It's the addition of Hellblade, Wolfenstein and particularly Metro Exodus that i thought would be bring people in.

You are right. First month is for 1$, after that it's 5$ a month during beta time, than it will be 10$ per month (the same as for XBox One). If you have an XBox and you want to play MP games on it, the best option is to get the ultimate for 15$, which includes XB Live, XB Game Pass and PC Game Pass.

it less the then cost of netflix so it is actual good value, but like said I rather own my games though I guess it could be really good way to see if one like games before actual buying them. I get the cloud gaming or gaming streaming is happening, but I want nothing to do with. they keep looking for ways to blur the line on does one actual own the game they bought.

I don't know if they fixed it now but if you get a prepaid card (12, 24, or 36 months etc...) and you redeem it (Gold), put auto pay you get +1 month, then redeem the $1 Ultimate Pass (+1 month).. it converts your Gold to Ultimate Pass so you now you have 12, 24, or 36 + 2 months. You don't want to redeem the $1 Ultimate Pass before the pre-paid.

was hyped for the new controller because my X360 one is falling appart until I saw "integrated battery"
governements need to outlaw that crap there are zero reasons for a controller to have a non-interchangeable battery it's programmed obsolesence with zero regards to pollution and the preservation of rare earths which is becoming a big problem, also 100% anti-consumer

It's not bad. I used to rent games in the 90s and early 2000s for like $2 a day per game. Then game renting died on PC because of launcher DRM (meaning Steam.) This is a good option to have. It is a game renting service. If you don't view it as anything else than that, it's pretty good since it's way cheaper than actual renting ever was.

Subbed to this, least for the month but the M$ store is just horrible, terrible to find anything... and games like Metro want me to update my windows OS before i can even download the game, which is BS, my windows 10 works perfectly fine as it is, i dont want to do a big update and risk it running worse off just to play some games... why its even needed anyone is beyond me.
Will stick to buying the games off steam or elsewhere, don't need silly random restrictions that are only there to force people to update their OS
