Hmm will i hope devs are gonna move past this rinse and repeat third person cover to cover crap. Would be nice to be able to have full control over the in game characters again, the example i'll use is Sam fisher in Chaos Theory. Such a smooth control scheme.

These consoles won't mean much if all the publishers do is improve the graphics and add more explosions. I want to see more physics and better AI.

Im guessing as much as you do. E3 will be good this year 🙂 Would be great, but i doubt they would allow it though. they can sell the games for the second time at the store at a later date. (as a gesture for the fans :P ).

I think the changes in architecture from ps3 to ps4 will make that impossible unless they basically put a ps3 inside the ps4.

The operative word there is 'may'... as they most likely will not, not if you don't want a barebones stripped down package anyway. 😉 I won't be buying any of the consoles at launch this time round anyway as my experiences with the PS3 and Xbox 360 seemed to tell me it is far more sensible to wait for at least two hardware revisions (and a price cut or three!) before buying any console. This ensures better hardware reliability! I may not buy any of them at all. I bought a Wii at launch but the Wii U just does not interest me at all. I feel it is overpriced for what it offers, which tablet-style controller aside, is the same kind of gaming experience as the seven year old Xbox 360 and PS3. Yes, there are Nintendo exclusives but they're so few and far between that it is hard to jusitfy spending £350 on a new console just for those. I'll always have a gaming PC so I question whether I even need a console really. I'm far less interesting in hardcore gaming these days than I used to be and spend most of my time browsing and reading online rather than playing games. I think tablets offer more appeal to me than consoles.

There is also suggestion the new Xbox will simply be called 'Xbox', but that wouldn't make sense. That said, going by the crapifying of the Windows 8 desktop UI and particularly the ridiculous over blandness and eye-straining (over a work day) Office 2013, it's likely that it will be just called 'Xbox'.

"wouldn't make sense" is not a factor in decision making for corporations. For example, how iPad 3 was more offically known as "The New iPad". What a terrible name.

Next gen? will these consoles support a wide range of accessories like the "oculus rift"?. $350 isn't much, considering I have bin holding out for a big upgrade "$4000-$5000 budget" Well Its almost time to be wow'd my all the new feature a next gen console can bring to me, ...waiting!

Is the consumer market the same as it use to be back in 2003, as far as peoples gaming needs and how they full fill them? Not al all. People are more tech informed and are not cornered into using consoles for mainstream titles. Features and exclusivity deals with publishers will sell the console brand. uhh! exclussity sucks so bad and those features, DRM and a bucket load of LOL to come.

350~400$ I guess it not that bad, but off the shelf high end parts? my ass not for that price. Maybe highend off the self parts at lest 1 generation behind pc if not more, that I might actual believe but not current gen parts.

I Did that for the ps3 when they claimed 1080p gaming, That turned out to be flat out lie. Only way such a price for console is gona be worth it at this point is, True 1080p 60fps, None of this Fake 720p-1080p that is used other wise I rather stick to a pc. Nothing runs a console experience more then HD Resolutions that arnt really HD and Framerates that drop.

^ This It's like when I bought the Nintendo 3DS and the XL came out a year later which fixed a lot of awkward holding issues, bigger screen. Or in extreme cases, the first gen xbox 360 or ps3, most of which had red/yellow rings of death. I don't know why either, it's like games rarely hold as much subsentence for me as they used to. The hell with the hardware even, I'll play a game written for the system specs of the Atari if it can hold my interest. edit

I really want to get one of those but I fear it might end up shoved in a drawer after a month of use.
