😕How did manufacturers switch X570 chips to fanless cooling? AMD started making them on its own, or is it a contractor? You can learn more.o_O

This is far from the first board with passive cooling on the Chipset. One example is the Asus Dark Hero X570, released on November of 2020 And now a days, there is the X570-S chipset, which, is fanless by default.

Never had a issues with temps on my Dark Hero , but have to say , proper case ventilation should be addressed , if you can afford $800 CPU and $500 MB .

production of io dies is now on 10nm instead of a mix of 10 and 14. previously Ryzen got 10nm io Threadripper / Epyc got 14nm x570 was 14nm Going forward, all will be on 10nm

Even my cheap and cheerful X570S Ultra Durable has no chipset fan and 3 nvmes. Bit of a bargain to be honest. Get the same overclocks as the Strix board that died.

BLEH!:

https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/MPgAAOxyTMdTPEhT/s-l500.jpg That board has a 65 W TDP all of it's own (2 x NF200, X58 chipset) and was fine passively cooled. Been running one for nearly a decade as my server...
And also has many heatpipes and massive heatsink. Boy i do miss boards with heatpipes.

I did once come across a set of water blocks for this board... then realised what a ballache it'd be to connect them all together.
