That's the way to go, imho. Reward paying customers with free DLC, instead of punishing them with forceful, restrictive and buggy DRM. I hope CDPR makes a sh*tload of money with their game.

Depends on way dlcs are incorporated. They may be in way pirates will be unable to distribute just dlc and considering size of game and that DLCs will not come at same time...
I want to see pirating people downloading 20 times entire game as they play.
I had preorder for quite some time, because Witcher series were good and for asked price I considered it to be very good value.
And they exactly hit spot I am usually aiming at when I say that there is something seriously wrong and cancerous in gaming industry (which has to die before PC gaming get healthy again). It is called Call of Duty and their cash grab methods of $60 game + 2x $15 DLC every year while game is basically trash in SP, bugged in MP and DLCs as in at least 50% rewashed maps from previous installment of game.
As new one comes, old is made unbearable to make more people buy new one.
I have seen steam MP statistics and checked each CoD iteration and how long it had big player base. They die really fast.

I just wish the pirates out there could see all the effort that goes into creating these huge open world games.
I pre-ordered and the DLC pack as well. This for me is easily the biggest game of 2015. cannot wait for it to unlock.

Most likely, yes they will. But the solution to let everybody who payed for the game pay double for others not doing so isn't really a customer friendly one. So imho I'd say the more people pay for the game itself the better, not few people buying it, and milking them 250% the game's price with DLCs...

So i hope you buy/will buy directly on GoG, so Valve doesn't get a cut on from this. I don't have problem with Steam, but CDRP is one of few companies that i will support to the max.
And it's the first game i will test on Galaxy 🙂

Yes, I will do exactly that, support both CDPR and a DRM free platform at the same time 🙂
The only downside is, I bought the first Witcher by retail copy, the second one digitally on steam, so I won't get any price reductions, unfortunately.

Well to be fair they are already milking it since they offer a expansion pass too.
Im not really hyped about the free DLC. If witchers 2 DLC is anything to go by that is.

Every thing that you pay in this game ,the pirates will get it for free.Many ppl pirate game because there is not Demo version,then they pirate the game and if they like it,it`s a buy.

I like steam, but with the way GoG is going i like that just a littlebit more 🙂

Devs are fools thinking that content will not be available for non paying users...Anyway i'm happy with my purchase, i gave them 20 euros, there ws a deal before december

Also because is not true to buY some unfinished bull**** for 70 euros...Lately games are buggy like hell or still in beta phase, when they are released. These cases deserve only piracy...For example, 55 euros for that hill of crap called raven's cry...you gotta be kidding!

Removing DRM won't make the game become more pirated, DRM is a pointless annoyance to genuine buyers, it doesn't affect pirates anyway as what they download has had the DRM removed
In fact, if all companies removed DRM, scene/crackers would go out of business as they would be useless groups if they had nothing to crack
