Any other features are also welcome too but the new start screen would complete my Titan. A backup and restore tool could be useful too for those looking to upgrade their phones from WP7.5/7.8 to WP8.

I think Zune is about the best bet for backing up before upgrading phones There is an app called App Reinstaller that will reinstall all the apps you had installed before a wipe / upgrade etc http://www.wpcentral.com/windows-phone-app-review-reinstaller

Early media suggested November but you know what the media are like when it comes to bulls*** and bulls***ting. I believe the target is Jan/Feb or Q1 at worst.

My concern is they never gave the Nokia lumia 800 the 7.5 Update is there any info anywhere that says they are definitely giving the 800 the 7.8 Update?

WP7.8 is supposed to launch for Nokia in January. Best way to "backup" your data on Windows Phone is SkyDrive. Zune sucks.

By the time it launches, all the hype will die off.... first the launch was expected in November....then December....now January.... Better have been worth the wait cuz for some of us this will be a "make or break" deal....
