I never used the store and honestly, putting the software there is just another useless move that bugs users to use that stupid store nobody needs.

Maybe a simple button saying : "Don't Worry" when pressed, would be more efficient.

iOS had this for years. Well done playing catchup, MS :P Anyways, if you had telemetry set to full and you opened reliability monitor before the reports were sent, you could inspect their telemetry. At least that's what I observed in the insider builds.

oh man well i guess we had better ignore every established precedent from the past fifteen years of microsoft attempting to undermine privacy of the entire US citizenry...because theyre publicizing some fucking debug data. theyve earned back my trust

hehe, the way they struggle with their own windows updates they probably can't even verify it themselves. I wouldn't be surprised if half of M$'s offices are zombies inside a botnet...

We are being monitored since the 50's, not sure why people are so paranoid when it comes to Windows 10.
It's probably Microsoft hate, yet people refuse to dump it and switch to Linux.

If the majority of users could handle Linux, or use it's environment just like Windows, they'd do it. That's... just not the fact. Or did something major change? If so please fill me in, I'd be curious.

I think they will put themselves in legal trouble if they collect something beyond the data they say they will use. Certainly if it consists of personal data that you did not agree to share.

By legal trouble I mean fines. Thats what 'legal trouble' usually means for companies. They've gotten into 'trouble' before and its cost them millions in fines.

As a company MS have gotten into more trouble than nearly any other. The fact they have so much money makes them an easy target for fines. Why go after a small company with no cash?
As already mentioned, the Linux argument isn't really there. Then again, the people who would not have the patience for Linux are very likely to not care about telemetry so and likely won't want this nagging them all the time.
This will be handy for gamers who do care about telemetry,and will be better than bloating your PC with additional third party software.

haha!!! why worries is very simple but for those that know what are doing 😀 1) Windows Firewall is your best friend inside Windows OS 2) any ISO is very simple to make modifications so myself can sleep as one angel 😉:p
