Why they bother to "announce" products I don't know. Their cards didn't exist 4 months ago and they don't exist now. And while some got their hands on nvidia 3k models after launch, AMD didn't exist at all. Same happened with their CPU line, which isn't a miner problem at all. It's just a mickey mouse company thinking they deliver for big bucks now ....
Well, I could order a 6900 XT right now and get it in a few days from the store's own stock. It would cost about 1800 euros, though, the cheapest model. 3090 would also be in stock, but it would be a bloody thousand euros more than the 6900 XT. 3060 would also be available, but it would cost ~600 euros or more, so thanks but no thanks. Ryzen 5800X would be immediately available, the rest not, but at least queueing for them seems more reasonable than for the video cards. I guess scalpers are less enthusiastic if they need to pay a really high price themselves? However, the ridiculous prices still seem to mean nothing to miners and the most desperate gamers, so it wouldn't surprise me if after a while the 3060 stock disappeared as well. In fact there are now far less models in stock than just a while ago. Considering the 3060 Ti, 3070, and 3080 or 6800 and 6800 XT, it wouldn't surprise me overly much if I'm seeing no stock ever because they were all pre-sold a long time ago, so folks didn't necessarily pay the bloated prices. This doesn't apply to new models (like 3060), which have bloated prices from the beginning. The stores over here have had a habit of pre-selling stock they are only waiting for.

My beloved card died in january. I'm pretty depressed. Can't get my hands on anything. Take care of your GPU guys..
There are some rx570's 4gb at 100-120$. That shoukd be fine until this is over. Miners only want 8gb cards.

Gpus are getting more and more expensive. If mine breaks down I'll have to go back to using the zx spectrum to play games.

Will have to pay me to use second-hand again. Reason for this whole debacle.

In your dreams. I wanted to buy a card for my bedroom PC to play some low-stress games from bed with a controller... and guess what ? Nothing is available here, the best I can get is a GT 710 or GT 1030 and even those are slightly inflated (beside being completely useless for gaming). Any AMD card which is -barely- usable is completely gone.

I went looking for any card that would last me a few months while i wait for 3000 series card and the only card i found in stock was a 2080Ti Kingpin for(wait for it) £1700....

Well nice to know my 5900X and 6800XT don't exist, I must be staring at thin air. What an absurd statement to make, of course they existed and still do exist. Just not in the quantities needed to meet demand. And the same goes for AMD CPU's and Nvidia as well. - The second mining boom hit, - Nvidia's cards are insanely good at mining, - These cards (both AMD and Nvidia) deliver excellent gaming performance ramping up more demand, - Scalpers from the bespoke shoe/trainer industry saw an opportunity to make money, - The vast majority of people are house bound and struggling for cash leading too even more demand, - World is in a global pandemic effecting supply chains, - New consoles launch leading to even smaller allocation for PC units, - Shortages in materials for chip manufacturing, This all boiled up to create the perfect storm, high demand through gaming performance, high demand through mining, and even higher demand through people wanting to make money in a global pandemic because a lot of them are struggling at the moment and sitting at home gives people all the time in the world. Nvidia themselves are much bigger than AMD and even they couldn't meet demand, or stop scalpers and bots. All Nvidia and AMD are doing by releasing these GPU's is keeping their investors sort of happy. They said they were going to release stuff and they are sticking too it, you think it looks good to an investor/share holder that you are NOT going to release a product or delay it when currently there is probably the most demand there has ever been for said products? Every single unit they make they will sell, this is what every investor/share holder dreams of. Not being able to meet that demand is probably their worst nightmare, but these companies need to look like they are at least doing something.

479$ for midrange. Expect 679$. Great hardware for the price, ye!
I got info from my private source that price will start at around 1100-1200$ from the start.

It starts here from around 1500-1600$ :-(

Faster than the 3070 (I know they chose many AMD titles, but seeing the Borderlands 3, Gears 5 or WD: Legion results, overall I think it will be a bit better), having +4GB VRAM and being cheaper? Well, this won't last for long even if miners wouldn't buy it.

Maybe its becouse here its in euros. Nvidia cards are more costly atm. For 1200$ you can only get a 3070 at this point.

At least we now realize it is much better to buy Xbox Series X than owning a mid-range PC. XSX is a custom made 6700XT combined with Ryzen CPU, 1TB SSD, etc, for the same price. Hahaha. What a great time to be a PC gamer. "Go build a rig, play with no life".

I hope for your sake that is the case, my card is dying, it crashes my games all the time, I can't manage to replace it. :*(
undervolt & underclock it, I managed to extract almost 2 more years out of a GTX 460 by doing that

We're never going to get these , they're never going to leave China 🙂

500€ for a mid range part, GPUs are becoming so expensive...

5700XT wasn't exactly mid range, it was las gen's highest end from AMD... 6600XT will be the current "mid range", as current 6700XT actually competes with 3070, which is "mid-high", more to the high than to mid. But yes, they are getting more and more expensive in the same class... 🙁 (talking about MRSP, scalping is a different story)

Does Xbox Series X support, generally speaking, mouse+keyboard gaming at all? I've played some games with the Xbox 360 controller (for Windows) that I have, but it remains pretty clumsy for me. I wouldn't even dream of playing a first person shooter or other aiming game with a console controller.

If we lived in a perfect world and you could get get a 6700xt at msrp i would say thats a pretty good deal. The card is fast as 1200$ last gen gpu and it has even more memory. Shame really...
