Watchdogs=Steam+Uplay and made for Nvidia so no thx they won't get my money. Steam+Uplay is rediculous already and developed with Nvidia is saying fuke you AMD users we don't want your or buy Nvidia you losers. It's a double no go zone for me. I answer with my wallet Ubisofs And they wonder why PC market is going down the drain, your so genius you losers. Games should be developed for both cards not one how stupid can they be. Not in a million years i will buy game that say its ment to be played with Nvidia card.
Ok,buh-bye!Have fun watching YT videos of WatchDogs on PC!

I'll wait for the reviews, and the first price drop.

the only losers i see, are the ones that segment the market, pc now has 2 pseudo console like wars: nvidia and amd. this is what really what worries me. you see before it was a performance war, witch was good, but now its a feature and optimization war to the highest bidder. this is sad gents. plz get over you fanboism and look at the larger problem.
Agree with both you and rich_guy.

Now up here in the UK on Steam, and no mention of it requiring a Uplay account, which i guess is wrong. EDIT: ahh, its not mentioned in the System Requirements, its on the right, 3rd party DRM Uplay.

This is one of the reasons why I switched to NVidia when the 680 launched.. I used ATi/AMD for years because I never wanted to spend the extra money for NVidia. I was a cheap ass and I still kind of am, using a AMD CPU.. Anyways, I got tired of missing out on NVidia only features. In gaming, there are things AMD/ATi cannot do that NVidia can. However NVidia can do everything a AMD/ATi card can. Now with prices so close these days I cannot understand why people still buy AMD. AMD are not the budget company they used to be. Since I have switched to NVidia I haven't missed out on a damn thing. The choice is very very easy.

So they are using HBAO+ and TXAA.... that is it? No PhysX? TXAA at first I was really excited about then I saw it in motion and that blurring effect it give is just horrid. Also HBAO+ runs beautifully on AMD cards anyway. Not to worried about this being littered with Nvidia tech and running like crap on AMD.

You do realize once the game is activated on uPlay steam is not needed.
Doesn't work that way for me. I can't launch Steam bought Ubisoft games through Uplay alone without Uplay telling me it needs Steam and proceeds to launch it. You can't launch the game without both accounts turned on. AC4, Splinter Cell Conviction, and other games do this.

What's this Mantle thing you speak of???????? Does it even work on all GCN cards? No? How many games currently use it ? 2

Lol, dude next time use Google before you post. Nvidia can't do some of the AMD features, also AMD have better multi gpu scaling.

You could always install the game through Uplay after its been registered (or just add the cd-key from steam to Uplay without installing through steam, since this should be working now).

I just saw this video and another gameplay video and the car chases looks ridiculous....the car hitting the trees and the trees flying like they were made out of plastic. Theres no damage signs on the cars at all.........besides that, did anyone else notice the "weird" way the trees and the leaves are moving in this video? is this video in x2 FF? ha ha

Why do people hate Uplay? I've never had any problems with it myself, and I think it's pretty decent as far as digital distribution platforms go.. I'm getting Watch Dogs on Uplay, as I'd rather deal with just one DRM than two. Also, Ubisoft added an offline mode sometime ago, so you can still play your games without an internet connection.. More competition is good. Steam is awesome, but it shouldn't be our only choice.. Personally I think EA Origin is better than Steam for specifically digital distribution.

What video was that? The welcome to Chicago trailer showed that the game does have damage models for vehicles.

The one that shows the multiplayer.

I'll play it safe and wait for reviews. My problem with AC4 was that it got boring after awhile and it just became "collect everything" syndrome like every other Ubisoft game.

Not realy its still console port DX9(xbox360/ps3) and made for Nvidia users plus steam/Uplay. So no money from me, Ubisoft is even worse company then EA. Your arguement about AMD get same results ingame is not even closely true game is developed with Nvidia in mind and exclusif featers like ambiant occlusion specially developed EXCLUSIVE for Nvidia that AMD user don't have plus performance improvement EXCLUSIVE for Nvidia. Ubisoft even promote this in this video lol. AMD users should boycot this. Btw im also not fan of exclusive AMD games games should benefit both cards no matter what card you use. But game developers are payed to favor eather Nvidia or AMD and thats STUPID plus bad for us consumers period. I know this is already happen for many years as i can remember and result is ive a handfull games with Nvidia logo on it only because i refuse polute my HDD with nvidia:P We only maybe get in near future DX11 games because console are now DX11 but this still take prolly another year at least before we see a 100% DX 11 game. Some sources indeed say rise of PC but numbers of desktops sold say other wise. I love when games come to PC but if its good port that actually is made with options and Mouse keyboard in mind thats still RARE. But have fun with Watchdogs, i won't. I rest my case.
Lol on your own m8

Fragments the library of games for the same platform. Doesn't bother everyone obviously. Jumping between UI's, so to include Origin,Steam and Uplay you have 3 UI's and 2 UI's just in Windows 8 alone by default but still it's not a very streamlined experience despite their similarities as far as UI's go, they are still a visual jutter. Of course then it's likely that most have different sign on names for each one. Uplay also clutters their interface with way too much crap and promotions. I boot directly into Steam big screen with explorer turned off so it resembles SteamOS, so trying to streamline it with a gamepad is a pain at least until Valve's new controller comes out to help bridge that gap somewhat but Uplay doesn't help thats for sure. But of course that's why I have a PS4 for.
