Gonna take the risk and leave it installed, i use macro's daily. After all i'm using a 4770K which looks like a cheese slope with giant holes anyways.

It's not which type of mouse you are using, but the software itself that is the issue here.

Does this concern the Logitech Gaming Software or only the Logitech Options software?

Is this unexpected? Not really. We live in times when those companies/corporations wants you to be connected 24/7. For one reason or another. But mostly because they want some kind of usage data from which they can extract additional value. But people making those solutions are no security experts. In cases like this, they are happy that it works.

I wish πŸ˜€ People like to use this type with the wheel on thumb area. They use it in designs or coding. @B4rm1nc I know, but almost all users use the Logitech sw in our office. I knew I should buy gaming mice instead πŸ˜€

Oh, in that way 😱 Well you sort of screwed then πŸ˜€ Unless you can uninstall it on all PC's via some Powershell script or likewise πŸ™‚

Guess it's Logitech Options only then, i don't see the other one mentioned.

LOL. Here's the change log for the new version of the software: You can now backup your device settings to the cloud automatically after creating an account. Log into your Options account and download the backed up settings to set up your device easily on any computer. Bug fixes and improvements. "Bug fixes and improvements" is putting it lightly

At least it's telling something unlike Windows 10's "Something went wrong". πŸ˜›

For those wondering, you can use the Logitech software to configure certain Logitech Mice and then choose to have the information stored within the Mouse's memory, allowing you to the remove the software but retain your customized functionality which is then stored on the mouse itself. I'm using custom settings on my G502 and I have no software installed.
