You will need to lower some settings like with 3 monitors setup. But outside some particulary extreme case.. keeping around 60fps is not so hard. just need to optimize a bit the quality, starting by MSAA. When you come from 2560x1440-1600 setup, the jump is not so big. something like 1080p > 1600p. Now im not really sure i want to switch my 27" WQHD for a 28" .. Surely more for a 32"..

About 535.76 US Dollars, an very good price for an 28" 4K monitor.

I think most newer cards will run games fine @ a 4k res It just means you would have to turn all the eye-candy way down. I think even my machine could do 4k @ 30+ fps if i turned everything to low. Maybe some games would struggle, Watch Dogs for example but a lot of games i'm playing right now would be fine.

this is probably the most reasonably priced 4k screen ive seen so far converted thats about 600-650$ i may finally be able to upgrade.

so no mention of refresh rate so it's probably only 30Hz seeing as it only uses one DP cable or HDMI cable (it takes two DP cables to do 60Hz)

I don't think it was meant for gaming, judging by the marketing around it.

I totally agree with 4K not being quite ready yet. 2K is the sweet spot for 60fps+ My rig can do it easily with my specs. I just have some Vram limitations with some newer games.

Yeah, totally agree. Plus, I feel like 36" would really be where the size should be. Probably ridiculous looking to have that in front of you, but it seems like about 100 ppi is good. Probably could really even do a 40". I can't even imagine web browsing in front of that...

Still prefer to rock my 120 fps and 120 Hz so no go for me. 1080p is here to stay for a while for us that are more fps hungry.

Me too, I use 144hz (or 144fps) and it's awesome, so, 1080p will be a lot of years!

This is actually false. HDMI is limited to 4k30 while DP can do 4k60 with a little room to spare. This monitor can do 60hz when using DP and is limited to 30hz when using hdmi at 4k. it can still do 1440/1080p60 using hdmi as well.

Price is good, I would like to have 4k screen with FPR 3D passive filter and maybe higher refresh rate. But at this price I would take it just for passive 3D and regular work. For games I would keep 120Hz/VR.

This is awesome. No need for super sampling AA because of the high pixel density 8)

Nothing so special about this screen, however, price is excellent considering it's 4k.

4k screens under 30" are silly imo. Its such a high res that you need bigger screens to appreciate it. I dont think 4k can flesh out much more detail on 28" screens vs 1440p on 27" screens. But go 32" and above, then we're talking.

4k on a 24 inch screen is 183 PPI. 24 inches isn't particularly big, and it still only manages 183 PPI. We know from smartphones that people can still discern 200PPI from 300 and 300 from 400PPI at a distance of a foot. I don't use a monitor much more than 2 feet away; I don't know about you. If people can tell the difference in an image on a screen a sixth the size at half the distance, I'm not sure why you feel 4k is "good enough" at 24 inches. EDIT: For clarification, your suggestion of 1440p on 27 inch screens is roughly equivalent to a 420x360 screen on a 5 inch phone. Such a resolution would be totally unacceptable.
