looks a bit like a mix of iOS, W8 and Android all in one (sort of). not bad, the deciding factor will be compatibility and the apps, personally i'll stick to Android but i'm more than willing to try an Ubuntu phone. 😉

Remember, it's supposed to have the full software support of linux. So aside from a few non-free (as in freedom) programs, you get thousands of USEFUL programs to run. People always seem to forget that most android and iOS apps are made because a website doesn't work with a tiny touchscreen, or just made because someone was bored. That being said, it isnt good to compare an OS by number of apps but amount of highly rated ones. IMO, 90% of apps on tablets are complete garbage. On phones it's harder to say.

If I remember correctly, I think all Android apps are supposed to run on the Ubuntu phone os.

I can't remember which video I heard this on (could be the industry proposition video by Ubuntu), but the Ubuntu Phone OS is built upon the Android Kernel, so to a certain extent you'll be able to run Android apps as well. Somebody do correct me if I'm wrong though, I can't really double-check this at the moment lol
