Sad how NVIDIA tries to monopolize the market. This will end bad for AMD and the users of both because nvidia doesn't need to improve their tech anymore.

For starters, how does TXAA improve animations? This would be much more exciting news as well if anyone could play watch dogs on ultra settings. At least Assassin's Creed 4 was a very smooth experience, so I'm still curious. And I'm not even an Nvidia user.

Why wouldnt they be able to play at ultra? I saw people complaining but never understood why they can't even with beefy setups. With my rig i can play comfortably at 40 fps avg with everything max except textures on high and AA at 2x TXAA. Is there some sort of bug when u enable ultra textures or what?If i enable them its alot of stuttering but thats because of my 2gb vram..or is there something else behind it?

AMD does exactly the same.

Its just Ubisoft, their games have always a big hype, but their games also get so fast boring. Sometimes they even have games with potential, you can play it if you are able to login into uplay, but this games they destroy with ingame shops and a crazy mount of money. Just dont buy Ubisoft Games, this Company must end like THQ.

Yep, amd is not innocent as people want to believe, it just nvidia is marketing and all regrading that areas is way better than AMD.

They'll run like crap again. Nvidia should stop bothering with Ubisoft.

I think they mean the temporal aliasing or in-motion aliasing of objects which TXAA helps with although at the cost of a bit of screen blur like FXAA, SMAA and so on. (Unsure how it compares to Temporal SMAA in say Watch_Dogs but I guess it's better although perhaps at a higher performance cost even at 2x.)

I still don't get why people are so convinced that nVidia needs to compete this way when their tech is superior.

That is a Ubisoft problem not Nvidia.

It does add blurriness to the scene yes, but i like the puffy look,it look's more "cinematic".I know alot of people dont like it but i prefer it to anyother type of AA. I'd use it over MSAA even if a had a 780. After i get used to it i try switching back to SMAA/Temporal SMAA or FXAA but i just can't play like that anymore(altough the performance is better of course with those).

Watch_Dogs runs fine with ultra settings and 4xMSAA+4x Sparse Grid Supersampling forced on my desktop. I guess I do have enough video memory to accomplish that, though. My Laptop with 2x Radeon HD 7970M 2GB runs the game fine on High.

No worries guys!! this time they will come up with HBAO++2. it will look even better than watch_dogs!! how HBAO++2 will look like?? Some lead engineer will make a great video to demonstrate that. (pun intended)

Its funny considering their Ubisoft games have some strange optimization.

Guess you never heard of amd evolved games?

Hopefully they learned from all mistakes, not impressed by TXAA so dont really care if its there or not 😀 The Division is next gen only so it should be ok, also 3gb will be fine nv will take care of that,. TitanFall is going to use gameworks and I bet they will fix this texture lag streaming with insane textures.

not even important. who uses TXAA? lol
