Quite possibly the best $20 I have ever spent on piece of hardware. Made an absolutely massive difference (+100MHz across all cores and a solid 5-8 degree temp drop). If your cooler uses a cheap plastic backplate like mine I can pretty much guarantee improvements

No that should not be enough at all. The kit comes with a screwdriver. You tighten it till you feel some resistance then do a 90 degree turn, on all four corners diagnonally. Once done, you do 45 degrees on each. I just self-judged but nice and snug. I did try the washer method but I had some weird mem issues with that. This plate has been great tho. Also, I think there are some out there that go on the back of the socket and should work just as well

Depends on your cooler, you dont need to tighten it at all, if you use custom water block [tested by me], AIO [tested by my friend] and im sure the same goes for big air coolers. if you use a water block thats for sure, it covers the whole CPU and its measured to apply enough force by the manufacturer, so it cant be weaker than needed, i have quantum velocity 2 and it was perfect In theory but i haven't tested yet, with custom block there is no need for this frame at all.
