Quite possibly the best $20 I have ever spent on piece of hardware. Made an absolutely massive difference (+100MHz across all cores and a solid 5-8 degree temp drop). If your cooler uses a cheap plastic backplate like mine I can pretty much guarantee improvements

No that should not be enough at all. The kit comes with a screwdriver. You tighten it till you feel some resistance then do a 90 degree turn, on all four corners diagnonally. Once done, you do 45 degrees on each.
