True, it might be easier than last gen but it would still surprise me to see emulators anytime soon.
As for this article, while it does say MS has some advantages I can't help thinking that AMD short changed MS.
I can't find anything saying how much the PS4 deal was, but was the Xbox deal not worth $3 billion?
Due to their financial issues it would surprise me if Sony spent more, but the Xbox specs just seem very underwhelming for what they have spent.

Dont matter to me I will buy ps4 and as long as i get true 1080p or true 720p with atlest AA and games run a minimum of 30fps stable with no tearing 60 fps preferred I am happy, Seeing as 1080p when your like 6+ feet away from HDTV is not you wont see jaggies as obvious if you where on Monitor that is 1080p and your less then foot away from it.
Only reason I rarely play my ps3 is cause its not true 720p half the time let alone 1080p so jaggies are completely obvious.
As far as MS is concerned I will never buy any piece of hardware MS had designed or made.

I never had a single problem with my 360 in the 5 years i had it, but Alan Wake was the only MS exclusive i really played on it, so it never really got much sustained use.
No way the Xbox will have the same problems this time, it cost MS far too much.
If anything the PS4 is the one to watch for hardware failures this time round, the fact it's more powerful than the Xbox yet a good bit smaller concerns me.

Yikes no wonder Microsoft raised the cpu speed slightly. If I were to buy a console it would be the ps4. I doubt a majority of people would know the specs of either

Im choosing PS4 not because of the performance but I bet that there will be way more and better exclusives on it just like it was on PS3

I understand that the memory reads of the PS4 are much faster than those of the XBox One because of the faster GDDR5 memory. But a sudden change of having a 50 percent faster PS4 ALU is suspect. If that was the case then AMD would certainly release new versions of all its CPUs/APUs based on such an ALU without hesitation. ALU operations are one of the most common operations and having such an ALU would leave Intel in the dust.

That means nothing to me, and these days i don't instantly go to Japanese companies like i may of done 5-10 years ago.
I'm just not a fan of the small size, it might look better but if it's hot and noisy then it's risky, and not ideal for me as i'm a late night gamer.
