I see from another source that it is the same price (299) so I think this is the real price. On the other hand based on bitter experiences from last years these MSRP prices are more like "guidelines" - the "real" prices in stores are a different horror show... Also: - I don't like the box!:p

Looks slick and professional. But I like the prices even more. If they are confirmed to be true.

$450 for the 5800X was simply too high. The only reason why people bought it last spring/ summer was that it was the only Zen3 CPU in stock.

General question... I recently shipped a ryzen 5000 series, and received a ryzen 5000 series cpu... Both were placed in the square protective plastic sleeve/case they origi ally shipped in, and both arrived with bent corner pins. Is this common? , I would have thought the original packaging would guaranteed damage free shipping. What did we do wrong?

AMD will be making a mistake if they charge more than $300 for the 7700X. Intel will be competitive against it.

That's a cool box.

We also have to remember that at the time, Intel had no direct answer against AMD`s line up but now the situation is different and Intel is competitive again, even if AMD seems a little better overall. So the prices of Zen 4 have to reflect Intel`s offerings, meaning they can`t overcharge like before. This is what i hope/wish, i could be wrong...

The price is irrelevant if availability is a factor. They can release the 7950x at £450 or £950, it doesn't matter if there are availability issues, just look at people fighting over £2000 3090Ti's

Good, gonna wait till 7700X with extra cache releases and then I'll probably get whatever is best. Unless Raptor Lake is better, but I have a gut feeling AMD is gonna be winning this round.

AMD will for sure win in gaming with the 3D cache versions. I am certain they will simply higher bin chips to beat Intel if they must. I'm not as confident on the regular chips that come out first. Anyhow we will know in a few months.

These prices do not look good. Hopefully it's just a pricing error of something similar.

Placeholder prices, nothing to see here.

way too high if 7600x is yet another 10% above 5600x 105w tdp for a six core is kinda high for how efficient ryzen has been to this point
