So if this thing is supposed to take on the 2070 (at $500?), wonder how it will look vs the 2070S at around same price or less.

Rumored price of 5700 is 379$. At that performance level and price it could be a killer.

so rtx 2070s will be slightly better than 5700

Nvidia will just adjust the 2070 S to answer the 5700 XT. If they really deliver performance on par or beyond RTX 2070, at 100$- less, this stuff is gonna sell like pancakes.

Until Hilbert has his way with one of this Navi cards, I'll hold my breath.

But RTX 2070 Has max ~10% OC headrom, so if Navi will clock like VII then we might get extra ~20%.

I'll bet AMD are holding this one back until Nvidia release the S refreshes. Then they can fine tune the clocks to match or slightly edge out a 2080S at a slightly lower price. I think AMD is tired of Nvidia always raining on their parade with refreshes, so they may leave this one for last to give NV a taste of their own medicine. ๐Ÿ˜€

Intersting take on that. I am sure AMD will have a 5800 of some kind out there. Even if it's called it something else. I loved my 5870 back in the day though. Brings back memories...

Navi is overpriced, like the RTX lineup! But, it was expected that AMD would take advantage of Nvidia raising prices to raise their prices as well! This release will not create the desired impact and will not put Nvidia on the alert, but at least now there is an alternative. AMD didnยดt say anything about TDP, which probably means that the 12nm Nvidia continues to be significantly more efficient!

They could at least display a good card instead of one that was dropped and stepped on and smashed.... ๐Ÿ™„

Navi is overpriced. If the rumors of the RTXs is true (not holding my breath) AMD will have to lower the prices. Glad to see AMDโ€™s GPU division is still just as inept as usual (this is sarcasm btw). This statement does not apply to the CPU division. Ryzen is basically printing money right now for shareholders.

I figured Navi would be yet another overhyped AMD videocard. I was hoping that wouldnt be the case but you guys thinking Nvidia is worried are pretty funny.

Years ago I had an HD 5850. It was an awesome card for its time. I have to say I am not impressed with seeing another run of midrange cards priced way higher than they should be. An aftermarket RX 5700XT is going to end up costing 500 US. The pricing of Nvidia's entire current lineup is appalling. At this point, all Nvidia has to do is lower the price of the 2060, 2070, and 2080 all by 100 bucks each, and no one will buy Navi. Nvidia has way too much mindshare for AMD to be able to get away with charging these prices and actually selling them in mass quantities. The discussion would be totally different if the RX 5700XT was 350 instead of 450.
How can you call NV's pricing of its current linup appealing? ๐Ÿ˜€ The only well priced models are the GTX 1660 and 1660 Ti. We have to wait for official reviews to get how the performance of Navi cards look like, but if you get ~10% more against the RTX 2070 and the RTX 2060 and its 50$ cheaper and 30$ more expensive while having +2GB VRAM, its good at the given pricing circumstances. That lag "decreasing" technology seems interesting too.

Don't call it worried, but why would that super thing "leak" before the release of Navi?

He said appalling, not appealing
