Tell me again why people pre-order?? If we keep buying games before it is released, how are we then ever going to get better games not filled with bad optimization or lots of micro transactions and so on.

Because I want the game from day one. :x I really don't preorder a whole lot either, just the games I really want. Games I preordered here in the past year or so were GTAV, Fallout4, and Doom.

How on earth is Streetfight V in this list. Doesn't anyone read the user comments or reviews before purchasing? The game is a disaster right now. I do wonder if regulating authorities should step in because it is so incomplete, it is like an alpha release.

Yeah, i pulled out from buying a much cheaper cd key of SFV after reading the user reviews. I also don't get why people pre-order, it was something i have done/do with physical goods, but when there are no stock issues with digital downloads i can't see what difference it would make to pre-order it in advance or buy it the second it is released or a pre-load goes live. Saying that, whether games are pre-ordered or not makes zero difference to the quality of the game or decides if there will be microtransactions. Interesting list of games, Beth and Ubi must make a fortune from PC gamers, and am i blind but is X-Com 2 in there twice?

It's their business to preorder or not. I really don't think the entire gaming industry is going to change just because people don't preorder. If anything, poor preorder sales may result in a development team being disbanded before it even releases. Those sales figures right at release really mean a lot to development teams and any potential of that same team working on a possible sequel. Besides, long before micro transactions, PC gaming was filled with buggy and poor performing games right along with poorly written drivers and Windows OS issues...it's quite better these days and obviously has nothing to do with preorders. A release date set in stone by the publisher along with whatever the budget limitations are is usually the main cause of how good or bad "optimizations" are.

What i found interesting is the fourth place for Dark Souls III pre-order, this game The hype to get a Bloodborne like experience on PC and the Hidetaka Miyazaki comeback as project director was able to surpass the bad impression Dark Souls II generated in PC gamers. I bought a PS4 to play Bloodborne and it worth every cent. IMHO it's the best 2015 game overall followed by TW3 and the underrated DL. If Dark Souls III is able to provide the better of DS1 and Bloodborne it will be an instant success.
