3rd person gameplay is just so offputting 🙁 And the engagement distances are crazy there on the outside where he can just spam that machhinegun and get kills from people that are just dots... BF4 was annoying in how far it stretched engagement distances, making the PDWs almost useless.

I didn't even watch the whole 10 minutes but quit after about 7 minutes, because it was utterly boring.
Nothing I've seen in this video make me feel like you need skill for this game, or that you would profit from at least having played FPS multiplayer games before. Shooting at little men on the horizon with a weapon that hasn't even got the most simple optics or anything to actually aim with it... jumping around with a jetpack just to get to high spots from where you can't hit with your crappy weapon except somebody else jumps up there too... third person, most of all, is a big turnoff. This game is nothing like I wish it was, it looks like the next Jedi Knight, without the Jedi part.

Lol agreed. Guess the over zealous autoaim can be blamed, but gebus has auto aim gotten this bad on console games? Skills and fun not required these days.

They really need some epic battles like in Planetside 2, not this slow, dull and boring mess. Not impressed.

I played the SWBF Alpha and enjoyed it. Stays true to the original game with DICE's flair added to it.
I just wish that there was more than one map to play in the alpha 🙁

The saddest thing about this game is that it actually will sell good only thanks to its name and advertising for the new Star Wars movie...How on earth they can be thinking to release this on PC. EA you did it again.Every year we think that you can't get worse, yet you keep breaking your own records.Congrats!!!

PDWs don't have range. That's why they're called personal defense weapons and not rifles.
Right? There should be virtually no drop. Different mechanics altogether.
I liked it too. I think it will be a lot of fun once they release it with more maps and the full single-player mode. I do not like third-person so I hope they give the option for both 1st- and 3rd-person which they seemed to, but during the alpha, I seemed to get stuck in the 3rd-person mode.

As far as the new game goes, don't preorder if you have doubts! wait to see if EA deserves your money. I'm guessing not but you never know, I do enjoy the battlefield series for the most part..
